Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:
Well balanced, slightly tart, ripe plum, blackberry, graphite minerality, peppercorn and savoury. Medium body, acidity, tannins. Pairs well with beef fajitas or charcuterie. Tasted 2014 vintage decanted 2h in Nov 2017. 91 points. Great value.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:
Great complexity and luscious layers adorn this blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Traditional fermentation is used for the Grenache and Syrah while he uses whole bunch fermentation for development of power and roundness from the Mourvedre grapes. This wine is full bodied and smooth with flavors of prune, currant, cherry, blackberry, black, white pepper, lots of dried herbs and wet earth. Enjoy with grilled meats or strong cheese. Excellent value. Tasted November 2017.
Pierre Amadieu Romane-Machotte (2014) is a Grenache and Syrah full-bodied and firm red wine from Gigondas in the Rhône wine region. Great value under $20 and with considerable alcohol (14.5% abv). Lots of dark cherry, garrigue herbs, cedar brush and earthy spice. Decant for two hours and pair with aged, hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
