Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Red berry aromas of raspberry and ripe strawberry, as well as earthy beets, bell pepper, and a touch of smoke, chocolate, leather and sweet tobacco.

On the palate, we are more on the dark berry spectrum, with hints of strawberry and red licorice seeping through, and espresso at the finish. It is full bodied with moderate tannins and a long, slightly bitter finish. Overall, a nice wine!

South Africa Pinotage Stellenbosch W.O. Neil Ellis 2015 is an earthy and dry Pinotage from the Stellenbosch wine region. Look for dark fruit compote, ripe plum, savoury and leathery meaty flavours on this full-bodied red. Pair with beef-and-lamb bobotje. - Community Wine Reviews
