A spectacular Niagara Riesling that almost jumps from the glass to wrap itself around your taste buds. Aromas of lime zest and lemongrass. The grape yield is kept to just 2 tons per acre to concentrate the flavour. It's also press fractioned to use the best juice and whole cluster pressed. A long, satisfying finish. Pair with vegetarian dishes and roast turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow, what a blockbuster Riesling from the Speck brothers! Massive, inviting nose of lime, petrol, nettle, honeysuckle all playing out again on the palate with a long and juicy finish. Reads slightly off-dry (residual sugar at 17 g/l) Hard to put the glass down! Matches: grilled pork, thai green curry, lemongrass grilled shrimp, coq-au-riesling...
Dianne Sheridan - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Smaller crops, heavy clay soils and 30+ year old vines of the Short Hills Bench, this Riesling packs a punch! Aromas of mineral, lemon, lime and wet stone. On the palate, a citrusy, lingering finish. Great with shellfish.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A Riesling with concentrated rich flavours, made from low-yield vines in the oldest estate vineyards in the Short Hills Bench. Shovel-planted by the Speck brothers in a labour of love! Shows rich mineral, petrol, citrus and peach aromas and flavours, with lingering elegant finish. Enjoy with a shellfish stew or roast pork.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a beautiful expression of Riesling from Ontario. Lemon and lime notes jump out of the glass, along with that flinty minerality or wet stone. Mouthwatering on the palate, flavours are concentrated, acidity is bright and the finish lingers. Enjoy with oysters or other seafood.
The grapes for this Niagara Riesling were restricted to two tons per acre to give the most to the Riesling grapes remaining. - Community Wine Reviews
