Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

All kinds of goodness happening here. Honeysuckle, green pear, late harvest apple and a light touch of nuttiness surfaced from this single vineyard Grüner Veltliner to please the senses. Extra dry and crisp, this charmer has been crafted by wine maker Ingrid Gross with hand selected grapes grown on 50+ year old vines. Nice texture in the mouth, perhaps a result of this wine having spent 11 months on lees and exposure to Austrian oak barrels. Compliment this GV with an apple, pear walnut salad.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Sample tasted as part of Austrian Tasting Ontario - Stay at Home edition. Beautiful! Aromas of pear, fresh lemon and white pepper. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy on the palate with medium acidity for balance. Fruit on the palate is rich and fresh, and there are some peppery and mineral hints on the finish. So refreshing. Enjoy as a patio sipper or with goat cheese appetizers.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Generous Gruner Veltliner with oily palate of plum and saline. Round and smoky finish. Lovely sipper.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
