From Niagara Stone Road on Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, the 2016 vintage of the Marquis, The Silver Line Chardonnay is a single vineyard Chardonnay. A full-bodied Niagara white wine made from Chardonnay grapes. Asian pear notes wrapped in lots of toasty oak and campfire smoke from oak aging. Pair with grilled tuna and baked quail.

Chardonnay food pairings: grilled lobster tail, roasted whole chicken, roasted quail stuffed with wild mushrooms.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Full bodied, lots of flavor - an impressively smooth Chardonnay - quite a vintage. An award winning wine with a beautiful bouquet and palate of freshly harvested pear, orchard apple and ripe melon. Divine with pan seared scallops.....yum!
Lynn Van Der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A quintessential expression of Niagara Chardonnay - and Ontario does it best.
Heady aromas of stone fruit, red apples and white flowers transform to a zippy lime finish. A perfect balance of toasted oak and zesty fruit.
Wonderful with poached salmon and dill sauce.
Tasted April 2018.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
