Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright nose of herbal green mango. Smooth on the palate. Nicely structured with nice acidity. Gripping tart gooseberry lingers during the medium finish .Serve with white fish and scallops. Good Value. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Sporting a broad range of familiar varietal characteristics, this Sauvignon Blanc is favourably layered with tropical notes of pineapple, mango, lychee, and papaya, citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, and some subtle suggestions of freshly cut grass. Extra dry and ultra crisp with a healthy body of 13.7% ABV, this is suitable for salmon, tuna, or pork, but equally impressive with lighter dishes, especially salads and vegetarian cuisine. Good value.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Green and fresh! Aromas of pear, pineapple, tinned peas, fresh cut grass and green herbs. Medium bodied and fresh on the palate with nice tropical and fresh herbaceous notes. A slight tangy zip on the finish. Perfect to accompany green salads or other veggies, fresh vibrant summer dishes, or white fish.
Franciscan 2017 is a Californian Sauvignon Blanc produced in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tank from wine grapes sourced in the in Monterey and Napa counties. Look for vibrant acidity on this juicy, fresh white with lemon-lime zest, white grapefruit and crisp mineral flavours on the palate. Enjoy with green salads, herbed quiches and brunch dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
