Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A portion of the profits for this wine goes towards the Ball's Falls Foundation. Made from 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, this medium-bodied easy to drink Red had aromas of dark berries, dried eucalyptus, autumn leaves, and hints of dark molasses. It is yummy on the palate, with notes of tart plum and hints of smoke. Excellent price point.

Pair with braised beef or with roasted Portobello mushrooms.

Trent Mayers rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Do you need a versatile Niagara red for everyday drinking? Here’s one that’s a juicy, dry, well balanced Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon blend with a medium body matched with smooth tannins. Add to that nice black fruit flavours with a little smoke. At its best with mushroom dishes, pork, or beef, but it could easily pair with other weekday fare.

Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

I discovered this vineyard at the Taste Ontario event in Ottawa April 3, 2019. The name, Ball’s Falls Red, is what first attracted me to try this wine and I really enjoyed it. 85% Cab Franc and 15% Cab Sauvignon, this is a pleasant red I would pair with white meat or strong cheeses.
