Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nice complexity and generous body in this California Chardonnay. Tropical fruit, citrus with grassy notes are evident on the nose. Some stone fruit, honeysuckle flavours come through in the mouth, as well as vanilla and smoke as a result of both new and older barrel French oak aging. Rather lush with smooth mouth feel, matched with decent structure that carries you through to the nutty, buttery, finish. Tasted March 2018. Sip while snacking on roasted almonds.
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Light yellow in the glass with a big rich nose of apples, pears/white tree fruit with hints of caramel and a bit of oak with a long finish. The palate is quite rich and round and a bit creamy with pear and some oaky flavours that show when the wine warms up. More time in the cellar and I expect vanilla and caramel would develop. The oak was restrained and not as "in your face" as I was expecting from previous years. The more balance approach makes it much more food friendly.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Soft touches of oak, peaches and yellow bell peppers on the bouquet. Flavours are toasty; nuts, banana and a lemon curd finish. High acidity, medium body and finish. A good pairing for creamy soft cheeses and risotto. 89 points. Tasted February 2018
