Blackberry, tobacco, India ink, and a little blueberry in the aroma. The taste is rich black raspberry with medium-high acidity and loads of tannins. The tannins are somewhat rounded, but could definitely use a few years. Decant this for a few hours and have it with rare steak.

David Skinner rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby with a tight slightly brickish rim. The nose is full of blackberry, cassis and tobacco notes. Dark fruit and earthy on the palate with plenty of tannins and decent acidity. A long finish with persistent tannin.

This wine would do well with grilled lamb chops.

Blackberry and cassis aromas with eucalyptus. Extra dry. Agressive tannins tend to overwhelm the fruit flavours. This wine should be set aside for a minimum of three to five years before enjoying.

On the nose, blueberry, chocolate and hints of tobacco. The palette is medium to full-bodied, dry but smooth and filled with sour cherries, cranberries. Long finish but a bit unbalanced with the tannins. Definitely benefited from decanting. Tastes like a different wine from when I first opened it. Pair with a roast beef or steak but with spices that could stand up to this wine.
