Pale straw colour. Guava, pineapple and passionfruit fragrances. Crisp acidity. Citrus peel, minerality and tropical fruit flavours on the palate. A rich mouthfeel and complexity with a medium long finish that effects the entire tasting experience. Serve with a scallop ceviche

Medium garnet colour. Prunes, chocolate, camphor and menthol on the nose. Toasty flavours of cocoa, stewed plums and espresso. Supple tannins and solid acidity. A well balanced wine with plenty of character. A long finish with the fruit and oak in harmony. This would go great with short rib pappardelle and pecorino.

David scored this wine: 91/100

Dark Garnet with a slightly purple rim. Blackberry, black cherry, pepper and hints of floral fragrances on the nose. Plenty of ripe dark fruit on the palate with the accent particularly on dark plum and blackberry aspects. Slight cocoa and earthy notes as well. Firm tannins that are well balanced with the fruit. The finish echoes the tastes with fruit leading the parade and oak rounding out the experience. Pair with braised lamb shanks and roasted onions.

Chateau Timberlay 2014

Bordeaux Aoc, France

David scored this wine: 88/100

Dark Ruby with a slight garnet rim. The nose is complex driven by combination of oak, cherry and pleasant floral hints. The fruit takes a back seat to the barrel on the palate. Some dark fruit with plenty of firm tannins and toasted notes. The acidity and tannins are in balance and the finish is medium with a oak-driven character. Best with food.
