It offers seductive aromas dark plums and juicy blackberries. It’s smooth and full-bodied, perfect for barbecue steak or a grilled Portobello mushroom burger with melting blue cheese. Township 7 is celebrating their 25th anniversary and is one of the few BC wineries with two locations: South Langley and Naramata Bench. They produce still and sparkling wines in small artisanal lots and their wines have consistently been awarded 90+ point scores and many awards. Over the past decade, Township 7 has become a leader in traditional method sparkling wines in Canada. Our Seven Stars collection has earned multiple top honours, including Best Canadian Sparkling Wine at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC), Platinum and Double Gold medals at the All Canadian Wine Championships, and consistent 90+ point scores from national wine critics. After one of the most challenging years in Okanagan history with that 2024 freeze, they’re replanting their vineyards and in the meantime, have introduced their Interlude Series made from Sonoma grapes. It’s a true testament to Canadian resilience and optimism. When nature gives you frost, you give it your all and continue to make wine that upholds the quality that’s earned them medals at the BC Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: Hearty dishes such as grilled venison and fingerling potatoes or a barbecued hanger steak with roasted vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from the Provenance Series, these grapes are sourced as follows: 59% Cabernet Sauvignon from Blue Terrace Vineyard in Oliver, 36% from the Raju Vineyard in Osoyoos, and 5% Merlot from the Blue Terrace Vineyard. Aromas of blueberry, cassis, and raspberry, along with hints of oak, vanilla, graphite, and smoke. Full bodied on the palate, with dry tannins, and bright acidity on the palate, along with dried and rich berry notes, and hints of smoke on the finish. Lovely! Enjoy with anything grilled, from beef to pork, to veggie kebabs.
Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Township 7 Vineyards & Winery wines are always so elegant, and their Provenance Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is that and much more. Deep ruby in the glass and perfumed with liquid cassis, dark cherry, garden herb and spicy notes well-defined on the palate, it's an easy-drinking Cab balanced with fresh acidity for food, and velvety tannins that linger on a subtle spicy pepper and toasty oak note. Drink or hold to 2028. Tasted April 2025.
