Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Frogpond have the distinct privilege of being Organic BEFORE it was cool. The first wave of organic wineries in Niagara began in 2001 with intrepid producers like this.
Their Cab Merlot is cheerful and aromatic. Medium bodied, with vibrant ruby colouration.
The flavours belie some maturation in wood, but there is great varietal character.
Red and black berries, some new leather, and some smokiness.
The flavours are more fresh and less spiced than the aromas. Cherry, bramble, and some dried green herbs.
This is a red that would be versatile enough to go with an array of meats; pork, ground meat, beef, or even some vegan burgers.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A touch green but overall quite enjoyable. Red and black cherries, plum skin and black currants. Perfect with Summer grill. 88 Points.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of back cherry, blackberries, plum, cassis and oak. It is full bodied with well balanced tannins and acidity. On the palate there are flavours of dark fruit and black pepper. This will pair nicely with grilled red meats at your next BBQ. Tasted on September 16, 2018.
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Sour cherry and cedar on the nose. Flavours of tart cherry, mint and eucalyptus.

As it's more medium-bodied, I'd pair with BBQ ribs or pork tenderloin.
