Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Deep, saturated ruby. Brooding dark fruits on the nose, with complementary notes of sandalwood, anise and black cardamom. Slow to open and dominated by its structure, eventually offering up weighty blackberry and cassis flavors and a strong licorice quality on the back half. Becomes livelier with aeration and finishes on a brighter raspberry note, with very good persistence. I'd say to give this a couple years to unwind but the alcohol concerns me a bit.
