Good full ruby. Rich, ripe aromas of red and black cherry are complicated by mint, minerals and licorice. Deeper and more complex than the entry-level Rufina, with notes of truffle, tar and earth complementing flavors of plum and dried herbs. Finishes smooth, suave and long, but with a firm edge that is quite typical of Travignoli’s Chianti Rufinas. The cabernet presence becomes more noticeable as the wine opens in the glass.
