Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: May 22, March 7, January 4 and December 16.

Tasting note:

A pleasant, full-bodied red with an amazing price. It's smooth with toasty oak and some tasty blackberry aromas. Food matches: poultry, veal and red meat dishes.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Grapes were sourced from a selection of the Cape’s top vineyards in Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington and Robertson, harvested at optimal ripeness to achieve the fruit-driven character of the eventual wine.

Grapes were harvested by hand in February and March at between 23° and 25° Balling and each vineyard block was separately vinified. The grapes were fermented at low temperatures (between 20° and 25°C) to retain fruit flavours. In addition, three days’ maceration helped to preserve flavour while giving intensity of colour to the wine. The skins were then removed, pressed and malo-lactic fermentation completed.
