A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that was made and bottled in the ‘underground city’ of Cricova. Cricova lies 80 metres underground and was once a limestone mine used to build Moldova’s capital, Chisinau. With many years of oak ageing under its belt, you can expect this wine to present a soft texture and complex mix of blackcurrant, plum, spring flowers, cherry pits, and earthiness on the palate. Drink it tonight with simply prepared meats as you would with a petit château from Bordeaux. Source: Vintages Panel
