Lovely purple plum, blueberry, blackberry and cassis aromas on this full-bodied, supple wine. This wine is a blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Polished tannins and a lengthy finish make this a supremely satisfying wine.

Reviews and Ratings

D rated this wine as 89/100
Vintage Conditions: Fruit for this wine was sourced from selected vineyards in South Eastern Australia. The 2008 vintage was warm to hot, with a pro-longed heatwave in mid-March. However, grapes picked before the elevated temperatures were delivered to the winery in excellent condition, resulting in good varietal definition and balanced flavours.
Maturation: This wine as matured in stainless steel to retain a fresh fruit focus.
Colour: Vibrant, dark cherry red with purple hues.
Nose: The bright, spicy nose shows notes of liquorice, blackberry, cassis, eucalypt and mint.
Palate: The Rosemount Diamond Cellars Shiraz Cabernet is a medium bodied wine, with bright flavours of spice, blackberry, cassis and mint. Soft, silky tannins carry a long, lingering finish.
