A round, buttery Chardonnay from southern France at an extremely great price for the quality. Full-bodied with aromas of butterscotch, vanilla smoke, golden apples. Pair with roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This wine as was a pleasant surprise for the price. Pale straw coloured and clear, it was more aromatic than I expected. A hint of citrus but more lychee on the palate. Nice medium weight, slightly roundish mouthfeel. It would pair with Thai or Chinese food. Or it would make a nice party sipper on its own. Tasted December 2016
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 81/100 with the following review:

A blend of toastiness and alcohol…
Presentation: Very modern, distinctive and clever label
Appearance: light-medium golden yellow
Nose: A little hard to discern in a Chardonnay-specific glass, needed a smaller tasting glass to smell anything. There were notes of toastiness and lychee
Taste: An interesting blend of soft and harsh at the same time, if that makes sense. You get some round toastiness but the back end is very strong on alcohol (despite the label saying 13% alcohol)
Finish: Almost like burning alcohol going doing your throat and a rather long, bitter taste
Overall impression: I’ve had worse, but I’ve had significantly better. It seems a little unbalanced for my liking. It has potential, though. It would pair with a white cream-based sauce dish (pasta and/or chicken)
Value: 3.5/5
