Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This iconic Vineland '07 VQA Riesling is sipping very well in 2017! My gosh it's mouthwatering and holy typicity!!! This Riesling couldn't be more textbook. Pronounced aromas of honey, lemon peel, and petrol hit you upfront. Meanwhile the palate reveals tangy, juicy mouthwatering lemon honey and canidied citrus flavours. Enjoy this Riesling with zesty and mildly spicy pibil tacos. Tasted Jan 2017 - @sommsosa / bespoketatsings.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow. A brilliant Riesling with typicity. Lovely on the nose and palate. Entering its tenth year, its tasting well. Vibrant acidity, medium body, integrated alcohol and fruit, well balanced. Living proof of Canadian wine longevity and quality. Mouthwatering, fantastic acidity, medium finish with persistence of Asian pear, green apple, hint of classic petrol. An impressive wine and worthy of tasting on its own. Pairs exceptionally well with Asian fusion, Thai, Vietnamese, sushi as well as appetizers. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 92/100. Great job Brian Schmidt and your team!
From the vineyard that spawned Niagara’s first rieslings in the late ’70s comes a lovely, low-alcohol (nine per cent) edition that wafts green pear, lime, herbs and minerality — almost like a sauvignon blanc. It skates on racy, lacy acidity, perfectly pitched against a touch of sweetness. Displays great mouth-watering minerality. Source: Tony Love, adelaidenow.com.au
