Complex, full-bodied and delicious! Loaded with black fruit flavours yet it's very dry and balanced, with a lovely long finish. Great dinner party wine.

Reviews and Ratings

The gnarly dudes are the old, twisted grapevine trunks seen on the label. This is one of the many excellent and well-priced reds to come from the Barossa in 2010, a perfect example of the great value to be had in standout years. Deep purple-red colour; superbly rich, clean, enticing aromas of mocha, dark plum, dark berries and violets. It’s medium-full bodied and quite elegant, with soft tannins and superb balance. Like Brave Faces, Gnarly Dudes is normally one of my favourite Two Hands wines but this year, it’s something special. Drink now to 2024. Score: 94 Source: Huon Hooke, Sydney Morning Herald

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
