Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Spring is starting to rise from its winter slumber. In the B.C. interior the first tufts of grass and hints of yellow florals are popping up here and there. I, on the other hand, am patio-ready with my wine glass filled with glorious, fresh and fragrant B.C. rosé in my bid to help Spring along. First one up is Sandhill’s 2019 and newly released Terroir driven rosé. Produced from 83% Gamay Noir and 17% Merlot, clean, fresh, beautifully balanced with lifted cherry, orange blossom, cantaloupe melon and pink grapefruit aromas on the nose. This is spring in the glass. Great balance of fruit to acidity and dangerously quaffable with bright strawberry, red berry, fine herb, pepper spice, crisp and fresh on the palate finishing long and vibrant with pink grapefruit and clean mineral flavours. It’s certainly making me happy.

This rosé is part of Sandhill’s Terroir-driven wine series meaning wine grapes were harvested from Sandhill’s Estate Vineyard. Just dry with 7.2 g/l residual sugar (13% abv). Highly recommended. Paired the first bottle all by itself and the second with roast duck.
