A gloriously rich and complex Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon with Bordeaux elegance and styling. Layered and long on the finish. Aromas of cassis and black currant and smoke. Perfect for a rare filet mignon. A steal at this price.

Reviews and Ratings

The Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this wine come from the winery's vineyard that was planted 40 years old so the depth and complexity of those old vines shines through in the flavour of this wine. The vines are planted in rocky soils of the Maipo Alto (high altitude). Following fermentation, the wine is aged in 95% French oak barrels and 5% American oak for 12 months before bottling. The vines are propagated via massal selection. The Mediterranean climate of this region averages summer highs of 30 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The vineyards clay-loam soils from an alluvial terrace include cobblestones 50 centimetres or 20 inches below the surface, which allows for excellent drainage and a superbly elegant wine. Perfect holiday gift wine. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
