A classic full-bodied Californian Cabernet with dark chocolate and black plum aromas on the nose. Supple, though it could benefit from an hour decanting for that extra smoothness on the palate. Blackcurrant and sandalwood smoke notes on the finish. Signature Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and toasty. Good tannins lend a grip and the cool climate of the Alexander Valley lends the balance. Will cellar well. Try it with rare filet mignon. This Californian red wine has a deep ruby-dark red colour. Mouth-watering acidity and layers of black fruit flavours.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hamburger, grilled chicken, pot roast with wild mushrooms, hard cheese, duck.
