The vineyard for this concentrated South African Cabernet is planted on Zandvliet Mountain at a height of 172 metres facing the southeast, which helps ripen the cabernet grapes yet maintain their balanced acidity as well. Mocha-blackberry goodness on the nose with supple full-bodied layers of dark fruit on the palate. Lots of coffee-espresso and dark fruit on the finish. This would be terrific with hearty meat dishes. Decant 1 hour.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled gourmet Boerewors sausage, Asian chicken salad, sherry potatoes, chicken cacciatore, pasta.

This Limited Release South African red wine offers rich aromas of vanilla smoke, cocoa and black fruit on the nose and palate. this wine, like all red wines that this winery produces, is aged for two or more years in oak barrels. The vines are planted in red Karoo and limestone soils. The 2013 vintage finishes with woodsmoke and blackcurrant. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
