Gooseberry and guava with a lick of lemon zest on this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Not herbal or grassy. Lots of mouth-watering acidity.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: chicken salad, pork tenderloin, seafood, barbecued lobster.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I never met a Marlborough, NZ Sauv Blanc that I didn't like! This one has a gentle tropical fruit and citrus nose, with a palate that gives tropical lemon-lime, banana, pineapple, and passionfruit. Dry with crisp acidity and a long lime finish. Delicious and delightful!
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Gooseberry, citrus, citrus zest, honeydew melon. Racy acidity. Fresh and light-bodied. This is just the way you want NZ Savvy B to taste. No overtly grassy or catty notes.
Perfect patio wine. Points for typicity.
Tasted: April 2015
The grapes are grown in a unique dry oasis of the usually wet Marlborough region. The grapes are harvested from four sub regions of the Marlborough's Wairau Valley. Great kick of passionfruit on the finish. - Community Wine Reviews
