Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Poplar Grove Winery's Pinot Gris 2017 is a dry, refreshing 100% Pinot Gris, cool-fermented completely in stainless steel tank to preserve fruit flavours and freshness. Pale gold in the glass, even on the nose this PG is fresh with ripe stone fruit, honeysuckle florals and light mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is dry (2.5% g/l res sugar) with ripe apricot, peach, lime and mandarin orange citrus zest and a light lingering mineral finish. Pair with salads and soft ripened cheeses.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely, crisp, and clean, this wine is light, refreshing, and full of flavour. Aromas of peach, pear, lime, honeysuckle, and a hint of minerality. Medium bodied, with mouthwatering acidity, fresh citrus and stone fruit notes, and a mineral finish. Enjoy with fresh seafood dishes or deep fried calamari.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
