Pillitteri Estates Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Pillitteri Estates Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 Wine Review
Black cherry and blackberry aromas with dark chocolate and cigar box finish. Full-bodied and satisfying. Aged 15 months in American and French oak. 4.4/5 Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: medium rare steak, BBQ meats.

|Such an intense yet alluring Cabernet Sauvignon, expressing so much eucalyptus you’ll swear you were outback Down Under getting attacked by killer koalas. Mint leaf, black cherry and black pepper follow through in aromas and onto the bold palate. An elegant tannic structure was achieved by a wonderful balance of French and American oak maturation for 12 months.|
