A full-bodied matured Italian red wine showing its age in a good way: tanned leather, dried tobacco leaves and herbs. Good acidity on the palate. Smooth and integrated. Pair with rose and rosemary.

Barbaresco food pairings: barbecued leg of lam, cheddar cheese, roasted pork loin, game birds.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Inviting berry, plummy and floral notes with moderate acidity, huge grippy tannins, and a long spicy finish. Enjoy with beef buritos. Tasted Feb 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketasting.ca
This Barbaresco is a brick red hue in the glass showing its maturity. It offers exotic notes of flower petals, violets, spice, anise and juniper berry. Excellent length on this wine with firm, grippy tannins. Pair with strong cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
