Natalie's Score: 93/100

Smooth, rich and full-bodied with succulent aromas of fleshy dark berries and plums. Some savoury, meaty notes on the mid-palate. This wine has 5% Malbec in the blend and was aged for 18 months in French oak. The result is a superbly craft wine, with a long finish and a pleasant bite through the richness.

Merlot food pairings: filet mignon, prime rib.

Our Merlot was aged 18 months in 100% new French Oak; black cherries on the nose with a slight hint of meatiness. Great mouth feel, fresh blackcherries, fig, clean tea tannin, complete. This is a good wine that will be great with time.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
