Toasted almond and butterscotch aromas in this cult Californian Chardonnay. Very rich and deep and hedonistically satisfying. Pair with success.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Pahlmeyer's 2013 Napa Valley Chardonnay is the perfect example of why I love big Napa Chardonnay. Rich golden colour, the nose displays layers of tropical fruit, vanilla, caramel, butter, and sweet corn. The palate is rich, layered, and refereshing. The sweet vanilla, cream corn, spice, toast, and lees persist on the finish for what seems like several minutes, until the next sip. This may be the finest full-bodied oaked Chardonnay expresion I've ever tasted. Tasted April 2015. 96 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

A luxurious Napa Chard with lots of vanilla, rich tropical pineapple and buttery toasted oak on the nose. Very buttery, rich creamy butterscotch with toasty oak on a delicious palate, creamy mouthfeel and a rich butterscotch finish. A beautiful gift wine for Mother's Day, Father's Day or any special celebration.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This is a slice of heaven in a glass. Gorgeous medium sunshine colour with tropical breezes filling the air. Pineapple, banana, oxidized apple, toast, caramel on the nose. The palate is rich and buttery with toffee, nuttiness, charred wood, and caramel apple.Long toffee vanilla finish. Excellent acid-fruit balance. This a well crafted full-bodied California Chardonnay that leaves you wanting more! Perfect for pasta with cream sauces, lobster bisque, grilled prawns or on it's own. Great gift. Enjoy over the next 5-7 years.

The 2013 vintage of the Pahlmeyer Chardonnay is multi-layered and mouth-filling. Terrific ripeness in the grapes shows in the wine. The grapes were grown in the Waters and Antica vineyards, both located on Atlas Peak. - Community Wine Reviews
