Oyster Bay Pinot Noir 2008
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Oyster Bay Pinot Noir 2008 Wine Review
Vintages Wine Panel: It’s back! This well-made and well-priced Pinot won a Gold Medal at the 2009 San Francisco Inter-national Wine Competition. Dry, medium bodied with bright red fruit flavours balanced by zesty acidity, this is a ready-to-drink. My note: A dependably delicious Pinot with notes of pleasingly tart cherries, plums and mocha. Supple, and smooth with lots of flavour. 4.4/5 Pinot Noir food pairings: stuffed veal tenderloin, roast turkey.
