Reviews and Ratings

Cave de Rasteau is one of the oldest wineries in the Rhone Valley with clay-chalk terraces covered in pudding stones on steep hillsides. Grape Vines are kept warm here day and night, and the wines produced in this area are typically high in alcohol because of the sugar levels wine grapes are able to achieve. La Domelière Rasteau is a red blend of old vine Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes. The wine is rich in black cherry fruit, black licorice and finished long with sweet spice and tobacco leaf. Indeed a hardy wine, it has good acidity to fruit with velvety tannins. Pair with cassoulets and rich meat dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
