A full-bodied red with lots of toasty oak and black fruit aromas. Terrific price. Crack one open on movie night. Shiraz food pairings: poultry, veal and red meat dishes.

Grapes were sourced from both bush and trellised vineyards in Stellenbosch, Paarl, Malmesbury and Worcester. These vineyards have been established at varying altitudes, from 50m to 180m above sea level.

The grapes were harvested by hand from the beginning of February at between 23° and 25° Balling. Four days of skin fermentation was allowed to extract sufficient colour and fruit, without excess harshness. After pressing malo lactic fermentation occurred. Post blending, maturation took place on American oak for 2 -3 months prior to a single cross-flow filtration before bottling.
