From Mount Veeder Winery, this California Cabernet Sauvignon (2014) is a big Cab with grapes grown high on the hillside slopes of Mount Veeder, clinging to rugged facades with rocky, steep soils. This is benchmark Californian cabernet in all its glory. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and cassis with some dry underbrush and herbs and smoke on the finish. Tannins are soft, rounded. Pair with lamb with rosemary or pork tenderloin.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled veal chop with morel mushrooms, grilled lamb chops, mushroom and leek risotto.

This California Cabernet Sauvignon (2014) is a big Cab with grapes grown high on the hillside slopes of Mount Veeder. The 2014 vintage is medium-plus-bodied, complex and savoury with many intriguing aromas and flavours. Lots of ripe berry, jammy plums, spice and a black olive finish. Tannins are soft and rounded. Enjoy now with a meat-lover's pizza with extra olives and cheese. - Community Wine Reviews
