Vintages Wine Panel: Crafted by the people responsible for Cristal and superior to many producers’ vintage-dated Champagnes, Louis Roederer’s non-vintage bubbly has aromas of toast, almonds and citrus fruit. Thanks to the high proportion of reserve wines, expect a fresh, creamy mouth-feel with flavors of binned apples, lemon pie, pizza dough and pear.This classic benchmark Brut makes an excellent aperitif or a delicious companion to a light entrée. Keep this Champagne on hand for impromptu celebrations. My note: One of the best non-vintage Champagnes on the liquor store shelf. A consistently delightful bubbly year after year, with lovely aromas of toasted bread, green apples and lime. Refreshing and invigorating. This wine is part of the Vintages Essentials Collection.

Introduced to me by the French Chef in my life, who knows my weakness for bubbly. Amazingly fresh, it's almost a shame to drink it, you'll just want to breathe it... apple, lime, yeast... fizz. Pair it with foie gras and brioche and weep.

I tasted this wonderful champagne at Louise Roederer Champagne House in Reims, NE France last October. Refreshingly acidic with citrus-lemon flavour, toast and almond notes and subtle yet pronounced bubbles, it's joyful!
Easy to find out more about each bottle by checking the traceability number on the label with the Louis Roederer website. The blend is 40% Pinot Noir 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier.
This champagne was our choice for New Year's Eve and we paired it with smoked salmon: toasted rye bread spread with cream cheese, topped with smoked salmon, capers, chopped fresh cilantro leaves and freshly squeezed lemon juice. A delicious pairing!
