Seductively different! Incredibly that there's no oak as there's generous smoky notes o the nose and finish. Rich and full-bodied with lanoline and lemon. Try this distinctively different and delightful white.

Semillon food pairings: planked or smoked fish.

More Wine Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What an exceptional way to expose yourself to the wonders of aged Semillon without having to forget about a few bottles for 7-8 years. Classic aromas and flavours of candle wax, preserved lemon, stone fruit (yellow plum preserve?), and a minerally edge. Proper aged Semillon is hard to come by, so kudos to Loan for slotting these away for all those years. I'm 90 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
This wine was aged 5 years in bottle before release, and it is a fascinating accomplishment. The aromas are varied and exotic with clay, yellow plum, crushed rocks, butternut squash and mineral oil. There is also a lovely birch wood complexity; think of the warm smell of a sauna. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, March 2013

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
