A fantastic-value Malbec under $20 from the Mendoza wine region. Winemakers Paula and Pablo Pizzella grow the grapes in Altamira, Mendoza. This dark, meaty and full-bodied Argentine wine sources its Malbec grapes from local growers, the Pizzella Family Vineyard (Ed Lehrman and Nick Ramkowsky). Look for ripe dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, mocha, smoky spice from oak aging.

Great wine, paired beautifully with steak.
finevines90 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep blue/violet in the glass. On the nose and palate, black cherry, blueberry, resinous sweet oak and chocolate with a touch of pen ink. Medium plus body, juicy and warm tannins with a long finish.
La Posta Pizzella Family 2018 Malbec is fantastic value under $16. Produced by Laura Catena. Winemakers Paula and Pablo Pizzella grow the grapes in Altamira, Mendoza. Love the smoky, dark chocolate blueberry flavours on this silky Malbec with supple tannins. Enjoy now with a veal Porterhouse steak. - Community Wine Reviews
