Reviews and Ratings

La Jota's Howell Mountain Estate (2013) is a 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc wine blend from grapes sourced from the Howell Mountain Estate in Napa Valley California. Howell Mountain Estate Cabernet was established in 1908 and the vines are planted at 1,700 to 1,820 feet above sea level. The 2013 is a good cellaring candidate for 10 to 15 years, but very drinkable now. Decant for one hour prior to serving with a rare rib roast with all the trimmings. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
