So mouth-wateringly delicious! The shiraz grapes are grown in the foothills of the Hottentot Mountains overlooking False Bay, thus Journey's End. The vines are planted in ancient mineral soils and benefit from cool coastal breezes. The wine is aged for 18 months in 3,000 litre oak barrels (very large so they don't impart a lot of oak flavour). Savoury and juicy with a meaty note that makes this ultra delicious. This is a full-bodied red that will tempt you to drink it too fast: it's that tasty. Aromas of fleshy black fruit and hedonistic happiness.

Shiraz food pairings: peppercorn steaks, mushroom burgers, tourtière.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
