Vintages Wine Panel: The grapes for this wine come from the same vineyards as Phelps’ more famous cult wine, Insignia. The Innisfree Cab is a forward and approachable wine with aromas and flavors of mulled spices, red fruit, coffee and cedar, with a long, concentrated finish that lingers on the palate. The ten months in a mix of French and American oak give this wine a slight smokiness. My note: A mouth-watering, smoky wine with luscious layers of blackberries and black plums. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated with a gorgeously long finish.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled red meats.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
