Mouth-watering tart cherries and acidity with a firm tannic grip. This lovely, medium-bodied red wine needs more cellar time. This is a classic Old World Burgundian Pinot Noir.

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A beautiful Old World Pinot Noir. It is pale ruby in colour with aromas of red berries, cherry, violets, smoke and leather. This red wine is medium-bodied with youthful tannins and fresh acidity. Flavours include sour cherry, black pepper, vanilla, gamey, and a good warming finish. Suggest decanting. Try with meat lovers pizza.
Tasted: April 2015
The Pinot Noir grapes for this Burgundian red wine grow in soils of clay and limestone in the village vineyards of Corgoloin, Comblanchien, Premeaux, Brochon and Couchey, all of which are located in the southern district of the Côte de Nuits. The Joseph Drouhin winery practises careful barrel selection with barrels made of oak that is aged and seasoned for 3 years to impart the right nuances to the wine. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
