Mocha and cigar smoke wrap around black fleshy plum aromas. Rich, full-bodied, supple and smooth. Lots of layers of pleasure here.

Shiraz food pairings: grilled game meats with balsamic reduction, beef and pepper stew, whiskey BBQ ribs, meat lover’s pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A gorgeous Shiraz, big and bold in the glass, and lots of big flavors in the mouth. Dark plums, spice, pepper and a hint of oak make this a great wine with a steak or grilled meats.
Mark rated this wine as 90/100
The 2010 Grand Reserve Shiraz is intense and forward offering up aromas of dark fruit, chocolate and spice. Round and lush on the palate, the fruit from the nose carries through. The finish is long lasting with notes of cherry and coffee beans.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
