From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Jackson-Triggs Grand Reserve 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry, full-bodied and silky smooth Cab produced from grapes sourced from the winery's Heron Pond vineyard. Grapes were given some hang time to obtain perfect ripeness while maintaining fresh acidity. Fragrant with earthy violets, black currant, sweet dried tobacco leaf, pepper, toasted hazelnut and oak spice flavours with a kiss of vanilla vibrant, plushy and long on the palate. The wine was aged 18 months in American oak barrels. Pour with a roast breast of veal smothered in a wild mushroom sauce.
