Irony Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Irony Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Wine Review
Vintages Wine Panel: We are not being ironic when we tell you that this may be Napa Valley’s best bargain. Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, this delightful Cabernet is designed for everyday enjoyment. Look for blackberry and red berry fruits as well as hints of floral and mint characteristics in this charming, well-balanced red. Serve it alongside homemade beef stew or rare roast beef. My note: A delicious, full-bodied red with mocha and blackberry notes. Lovely! 4.5/5
