Great Heart 2020 is a dry, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah (82%/18%) red wine blend with grapes sourced from dry-farmed, bush vines grapes between 16 and 40 years of age. Half of the wine was whole bunch fermented and the finished wine aged 18 months in neutral oak barrels. Perfumed with ripe dark plum, dark berry, blue florals, wild herbs, clove and pepper spice flavours generous on the palate, enjoy it with braised short ribs or lamb ragu. The Great Heart Project, is a staff empowerment project for the 21 employees of the winery and their families, and a special project of Gynore Hendricks who is the assistant winemaker at Mullineux Great Heart.
