Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied, drink-now, a Grenach, Syrah, Mouvedre blend from the southern Rhone valley. Ruby in colour, there are sweet fruit and plum aromas. Toasty oak on the palate with a very dry finish. Some decanting recommended. Will pair well with poultry, veal and other savoury dishes.
Gabriel Meffre Laurus 2016 is a warm and sensuous Côtes Du Rhône Villages red wine blend of 65% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre produced from vines between 50-to-90 years of age. Look for ripe black raspberry, cherry compote and savoury spice flavours on this well-priced Côtes Du Rhône red under $20. Enjoy with a slow-braised lamb shanks in red wine sauce. - Community Wine Reviews
