Natalie's Score: 91/100

The 2017 vintage of this juicy Frontanafredda Gavi de Gavi is made from 100% Cortese wine grapes. On the palate this dry white is ripe yellow apples, almonds and creamy and finishes with a zingy acidity. Pir with seafood and shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is an unbelievable wine from Fontanafredda, featuring crushed white stone fruit, citrus curd, citrus blossom and some warm spice and dried hay. There's a slight white tea note at the end. Tagliatelle with lobster and cream sauce. 91 Points.
From the Piedmont wine region Fontanafredda 2017 is a great value under $20 Gavi de Gavi made from 100% Cortese wine grape, with fresh, ripe white-fleshed stone fruit, ripe pear, lemon curd, cut grass and baking spice flavours on the palate. Great acidity to cut through rich fish dishes like sautéed halibut and smoked whitefish. - Community Wine Reviews
