This lovely off-dry Niagara Riesling is bursting with aromas of fresh citrus, lime and green apple. Remarkable, even though there are 18 grams of sugar in this wine, the acidity balances it perfectly, yielding only a slight impression of sweetness. Terrific mouth-watering acidity for seafood and salads.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A lively Riesling with aromas of marmalade, tropical fruit, honey, and orange blossom. On the palate, it is off-dry with flavours of pineapple, clementine, and lemon. It has a vibrant acidity and would pair nicely with spicy sausage pizza or with Asian food.

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The microclimate of Nadjas Vineyard is marginally warmer than the rest of Twenty Mile Bench. This permits slightly higher levels of ripeness and slightly higher quality fruit. This single vineyard Riesling explodes with juicy and ripe lemon, peach, and apricot, then follows with citrus blossom and tropical fruit hints. A fuller Riesling than typical in the region, sporting a body of 11.5% ABV with 20 grams of residual sugar per litre. Dress up some pork chops with balsamic, peach slices, and feta.
From the Twenty Mile Bench in the Niagara Escarpment wine region, Flat Rock Nadja's Vineyard (2016) is an off-dry Riesling with lime, lemon zest, fresh green apples and flint on the palate accompanied by a mouth watering acidity, which makes this a fantastic food wine to pair with pork snitzel and cheese spaetzle. Named for winemaker Ed Madronich's mother Nadia, this vineyard was planted in 2000. The two-hectare vineyard sits on the top of the Niagara Escarpment and with this elevation, the grapes ripen later than those below in the valley by several weeks. This vintage was awarded Platinum at the 2017 National Wine Awards of Canada. - Community Wine Reviews
