Natalie's Score: 93/100

Gorgeously rich, full-flavoured rose with field raspberry aromas. Bone-dry and expressive. So satisfying. More deeply hued and experiential than a Mediterranean sunset. Tavel is a tiny appellation that lies on the west bank of the Rhone within the Gard department.

Rosé food pairings: salmon steaks, grilled lamb burgers, seafood salads.

Reviews and Ratings

Tavel produces the most complex and robust dry roses on the planet, and this one is a fine example. A pebbly soil mix of red clay and Alpine deposits create this fabulous rose that's a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault grapes. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
