A terrific, black smoke, big oak red with brooding black fruit and cedar. Perfect for when you almost got a hole in one... Back to the clubhouse to discuss. (Yes, this is named after the famous golfer who owns the winery.)

Food pairings: grilled beef medallions in a peppercorn sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

An easy-to-love wine that blends 67% Shiraz and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Grenache and Viognier. Opaque purple in colour with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, wood smoke and cinnamon stick. It’s dry, medium-full bodied with generous dark fruit, smoke, spice and tar notes. Moderate tannins and a focused spine of acidity keep it electrified. Spicy and lively. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
